It is orientation, and it is the best fifty-nine dollars a first-time visitor can spend here. Las Vegas is confusing on the ground. The resorts sit further apart than they look, the two districts people come for are five miles apart, and none of that is obvious from a pavement. Two hours on an open deck fixes all of it in one pass.
The route runs the Strip past the Fountains of Bellagio, the Eiffel Tower deck at Paris Las Vegas, Madame Tussauds and the LINQ. It then carries on north to the Fremont Street Experience and comes back down past Luxor and The STRAT. Three grades of departure run: a standard night tour, a late run at 10:15pm that stops at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, and an adults-only 8pm tour with a drink.
What it is not is a guided tour in the human sense. The commentary is a recording, and that is exactly why this is the cheapest fare here. If you want a person answering questions, a double decker bus Las Vegas night tour in a van or an open jeep is the format, at roughly twice the price.
It is your first evening here and you want to place everything before you commit a night to walking it. You would also rather sit down while you do. It is the one format that takes children of any age and the only one under sixty dollars, which makes it the easy answer for a family.
You want a live guide, or you need collecting from your hotel. Neither is on offer here. The party-bus club night puts a host in charge of the evening instead. The guided vans on the tour options page stop and walk you around each landmark rather than driving past it.
Standard and late-night departures leave from Stop 3, the High Roller bus loading zone at 3973 LINQ Lane. Arrive fifteen minutes early, because seating is not allocated. The adults-only tour is different: show your ticket to Big Bus staff at the downstairs bar of the Hard Rock Cafe by 7:40pm. That run finishes at 10:15pm.
There is no hotel pick-up on any grade. If you are staying at the south end of the Strip, budget twenty minutes to reach the LINQ, or take the Deuce, which stops close by around the clock.
The 10:15pm late-night tour. The standard and adults-only departures pass it but do not stop, so if a photograph at the sign is the point of your evening, book the late one. Photo stops there run about 15 minutes.
No — the commentary is a recording, in English and Spanish. It is thorough and it plays the whole way round, and it is the reason this is the lowest fare here. For a person you can ask questions of, take the helicopter flight, where the pilot narrates, or one of the guided vans.
Not on the night tours. They run as a single continuous loop to show you the lights, and the daytime hop-on hop-off product is a separate ticket. You return to where you boarded.
The standard and late-night tours are, and they are the cheapest way to give a family the whole city in one evening. The 8pm adults-only departure is 21 and over, so check which grade you are buying before you pay.

I have done two Vegas tours with this company and the night one is the better of the two by a distance. Seeing the city lit up from the top deck is the part that stays with you.

We took the 10pm ride and the bus was not packed. The driver was excellent, the commentary was worth listening to, and even though it rained on us there was no rush at the Welcome sign.
